Two Da Nang teams win Samsung innovation tech contest in Vietnam
DNO - Two student teams from Da Nang triumphed at Samsung-organised Innovation Tech Challenge 2025 held on September 11 in the capital city of Ha Noi.

The contest, designed for participants of the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) talent development programme, took the form of a “Robot Cup – Robot Soccer” challenge.
It attracted the participation of 10 university teams and 15 secondary school teams from cities and provinces across Vietnam.
Competitors were tasked with designing and programming two intelligent robots capable of simulating football matches.
The robots had to integrate advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), image processing, sensors, and automated control.
They were programmed to move, coordinate strategies, and respond to dynamic in-game situations on a simulated soccer field.

In the final round, LQĐ-Piogineers from the Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Secondary School Division) and DTU-TT from Duy Tan University (University Division), both from Da Nang, secured victory in their respective brackets.
The event also coincided with the closing ceremony of the SIC programme for the 2024–2025 academic year.
Launched in November 2024, SIC offers three advanced technology courses: Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Big Data, alongside a fundamental coding and programming module for youth aged 12 - 22.
After nearly one year, the project has been implemented in 69 secondary schools, high schools and universities in 10 provinces and cities, engaging nearly nearly 7,000 students, teachers and lecturers. Samsung has awarded 98 scholarships to 98 outstanding participants.
Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized that science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation are vital drivers of Vietnam’s future prosperity.
He called for continued collaboration with Samsung to nurture high-quality human resources for the country’s development.
