Special AI class in Da Nang for people with disabilities
DNO - As artificial intelligence (AI) transforms economies and redefines work, a pioneering programme in Da Nang, Vietnam, is proving that the future of technology can be inclusive.

The Special Data Labeling course is the first in Central Vietnam designed exclusively for people with disabilities. Its focus is on training participants to label data, an essential task in building AI systems and a field offering flexible, remote opportunities.
For H.P., an 11th grader who has lived with severe mobility challenges, the class has been life-changing. Using only two fingers to operate a keyboard and mouse, even the simplest tasks can be daunting.
Yet with tailored instruction and supportive teachers, he has gradually found confidence and joy in the work.
“This class teaches real skills while respecting differences. For my son, it has turned frustration into hope”, said his mother, Ms. M.T.
Behind the initiative are DevPlus JSC (Da Nang) and AIWorkx Vietnam, a company with expertise in AI data processing for self-driving cars, digital banking, and security.

Over the past two years, AIWorkx has trained more than 40 people with disabilities, many of whom now work on real AI projects.
“Data labeling demands patience and attention to detail, qualities many disabled learners excel at,” noted DevPlus co-founder Bui Ngoc Vinh.
AIWorkx Vietnam’s CEO, Park Singyu, emphasized: “Technology advances quickly, but fairness must be ensured. AI should become a tool of equality, empowering people with disabilities.”
Looking ahead, DevPlus plans to expand training to include AI-assisted image editing, filmmaking, and digital advertising, equipping disadvantaged communities with skills to create value for themselves and society.
