Da Nang welcomes 12.8 million visitors in 8 months of 2025
DNO - Da Nang has recorded robust growth in its tourism sector during the first eight months of 2025, welcoming an estimated 12.8 million visitors, a year-on-year increase of 20.8%.

International arrivals totaled 5 million, up 23.4% from the same period last year, while domestic tourists reached 7.8 million, a 19.1% rise.
In August alone, Da Nang served nearly 1.97 million guests, including 671,000 international visitors.
Tourism revenues have mirrored this upward trend. Accommodation and food services generated VND 36.3 trillion (US$1.43 billion) between January and August, accounting for 21.6% of the city’s retail and service sales.
Accommodation revenues jumped by 31.7%, while dining services grew by 22.1%.
The travel services sector also demonstrated resilience, with revenues climbing 19.1% year-on-year to reach VND 3.22 trillion.
Tour operators served 1.16 million travelers during the eight-month period, including both international visitors (+22%) and domestic tourists (+37.5%), reflecting a surge in organized travel demand.
According to analysts, Da Nang’s growth is being fueled by its strategic location, improved air connectivity, and expanding portfolio of cultural and entertainment events.
The city has also positioned itself as a family-friendly and MICE-ready destination, appealing to both leisure and business travelers.
With steady gains in both visitor numbers and revenue, Da Nang is increasingly seen as a rival to established destinations in the region and a cornerstone of Vietnam’s broader tourism growth strategy.
