Domestic tourism fuels growth momentum in Da Nang
DNO - Domestic travelers are proving to be the key driver behind Da Nang’s steady tourism growth, with new data highlighting rising demand for higher-quality experiences.

According to a report by The Outbox Company on Vietnamese travel behaviour during the 2025 summer season, spending in the mid- to high-end segments increased by 6.1% compared with last year.
This shift offers destinations like Da Nang an opportunity to expand premium services catering to domestic visitors with stronger purchasing power.
Several accommodations near Hoi An have reported a surge in bookings for rooms priced at around one million VND (US$40) and above, signaling a move away from the budget segment that once dominated the market.
Data from The Outbox Company placed Da Nang as the top domestic destination this summer, while global travel platform Booking.com ranked the city second among the ten most-searched destinations for Vietnam’s upcoming National Day (September 2) holiday.
In July 2025 alone, local hotels and resorts in Da Nang served nearly 1.99 million visitors, including 1.39 million domestic ones, up 18.2% year-on-year.
Cumulatively, the first seven months of 2025 saw 10.8 million visitors, including 6.5 million domestic tourists, representing 60% of the total and marking a 17.1% increase from 2024.

In a great effort to sustain momentum into the remaining months of 2025, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched the ‘Da Nang Tourism Experience Megasale’.
On September 5, discounts of up to 50% will be offered at major hotels, resorts, attractions, and museums including New Orient Hotel, Fusion Resort & Villas and the Dong Dinh Museum.
Large entertainment complexes are also joining the campaign with additional promotions, such as the ‘Proud of Vietnam’ programme offering 30 - 40% off for domestic visitors.
At VinWonders Nam Hoi An, families can benefit from a special deal: buy two adult tickets and get a child ticket free.
With rising domestic spending and a wave of promotional initiatives, Da Nang is set to reinforce its position as one of Vietnam’s most dynamic and attractive destinations.
