In July alone, the number of guests served by accommodation facilities citywide was estimated at over 1.9 million, a 15% year-on-year increase. Of these, more than 600,000 were international visitors, up 11%, whilst the remaining over 1.3 million were domestic tourists, up 18%.

Revenue from accommodation, food and travel last month reached more than VND 5.5 trillion, a rise of 18% over the same period in 2024.

During that month, Da Nang also witnessed a surge in visitor arrivals by sea, inland waterways, and air.

Specifically, two cruise ships brought 1,900 passengers in total to the city. The number of tourists by inland waterways at Han River, Thu River, CT 15, and Cua Dai ports was estimated at 131,666, an increase of 10% compared with the same period last year.

According to Mrs. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, one of the most significant factors increasing international arrivals to the city, especially from distant markets such as Europe, North America, and Australia, is the country’s favorable visa policies.

These policies are a visa exemption policy for 15 - 45 days for citizens of some Asian, European, and ASEAN countries; a flexible e-visa system for citizens of more than 150 countries and territories; an extension of e-visa from 30 days to 90 days; and allowance for multiple entries during the visa’s validity period.

Additionally, Da Nang has hosted many international-scale events such as the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, and the Enjoy Da Nang Festival 2025.

Great efforts have been also made to advertising the city’s image and its notable tourism awards to international friends. Included are Hoi An ranking 6th in the world’s top 25 most beautiful cities in 2025 - World's Best Awards 2025 by Travel Leisure magazine, and Hoi An and Cham Islands being named among the world's top plastic-free travel destinations under the media message “New Da Nang - New Experience”.

In the coming time, the city will continue to enhance service quality and develop new tourism products, as well as fully tap the strengths of former Da Nang and Quang Nam Province, in a bid to form a comprehensive tourism ecosystem and diversify experiences for domestic and foreign tourists.
