At around 9:30 am on Thursday, Mr. Huynh Cong Son, 32, went to the Ba Na Commune Police Station to report that he had found a black backpack containing VND 150 million in cash, land use rights papers, and some personal belongings.

After receiving the report, police in Ba Na Commune conducted verification and successfully identified the owner of the lost property as Mr. Nguyen Minh, 66, a resident of Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Minh later arrived at the police station to retrieve his lost property and sent a thank you letter to the local police force and Mr. Huynh Cong Son.

Previously, on July 16, police in Thanh Khe Ward received a thank you letter from Vo Thi Ngoc Hoa, a university student residing in Hoi An Tay Ward, Da Nang.

On her way home, Hoa unfortunately dropped her personal backpack on Nguyen Tri Phuong Street. Her backpack contained a laptop, vehicle registration documents, clothes and books

After receiving Hoa’s report, police in Thanh Khe Ward quickly deployed forces to verify and search for the property. Within two days, local police officers successfully found and returned the lost backpack to Hoa.
