Great opportunities for Da Nang to enhance MICE tourism
A series of regional and international-scale events and festivals held in Da Nang in June significantly contributed to affirming Da Nang as a leading destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism.

Prominent among them are Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 from May 31 - July 12, the Viet Nam - UK Football Festival 2025 from June 26 - 29, and the 3rd edition of Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF III) from June 29 - July 5.
These events did not operate independently but created a synergistic effect, helping to expand the tourist base, extend visitors’ length of stay, increase tourism spending, and consolidate Da Nang’s position as an “event destination with depth and distinct identity in Asia”.
Following the merger with Quang Nam Province, new Da Nang is now home to over 2,200 accommodation establishments offering nearly 65,000 rooms in total, including nearly 140 four-and five-star properties with more than 27,500 high-standard rooms. Such modern infrastructure provides a strong foundation for hosting world-class events.
Mr. Andre Pierre, General Manager of Furama - Ariyana Danang International Tourism Complex, said that thanks to its extensive experience in organizing international events such as the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in 2017 and ASEAN Summit, the Furama Resort Danang combined with Ariyana International Convention Palace, continued to affirm its position as the leading MICE venue in Viet Nam.
In 2025, the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism targets to welcome about 80,700 MICE visitors, up 11% compared to the previous year. This figure will include an estimated 40,000 domestic visitors (up 10.81%) and 40,700 international visitors (up 11.21%).
Da Nang is facing unprecedented opportunities to position the MICE tourism brand more firmly on the national and regional tourism map.
With an expanding urban scale and concentrated investment in tourism infrastructure, Da Nang possesses strong comprehensive resources, especially natural resources, heritage sites, cultural and historical landmarks, international standard hotels, international airports, and a well-connected transport network.
These conditions help Da Nang increase its attractiveness and enhance its competitiveness in attracting large international MICE delegations, thereby becoming the leading conference tourism center in Viet Nam and Southeast Asia.
