Da Nang seeks Japan’s Sakai co-operation for green transformation
DNO - During his meeting on Monday morning with Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh, Mr. Nishi Tetsushi, Vice President of the Japan - Viet Nam Friendship Parliamentarians' Union in Sakai City congratulated the newly established Da Nang on its open space and development potential.

He informed that Sakai was a model city in green, environmentally friendly development, and a pioneer in carbon emission reduction technology, and green transformation. He also expressed his willingness to share experience and assist Da Nang with green transformation.
According to Mr. Nishi Tetsushi, Da Nang and Sakai shared many similarities about having world cultural heritages and attracting many international tourists every year. He, therefore, stressed the need for the two cities to promote cooperation in tourism, thereby contributing to promoting economic growth.

For his part, Permanent Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh highlighted the key features of the new Da Nang and shared some achievements of Japanese enterprises that have invested and conducted business in the locality.
Currently, Da Nang is promoting Japanese language training across all educational levels to meet the growing demand for skilled workers in Japanese corporations and businesses.
The city official asked for support from Mr. Nishi Tetsushi to call on more Sakai enterprises to invest in Da Nang in such spheres as high technology, information technology, digital transformation, green transformation, tourism, and education - training.
Da Nang expressed gratitude to the Sakai government for its active support and its active promotion of the project to develop a carbon-neutral city. The city is currently following the necessary procedures to officially approve the project.
