NIKKO SHOJI to invest in an entertainment and resort complex in Da Nang
(ĐNO) - On July 4, Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Deputy Chairwoman of the Da Nang city People’s Committee, welcomed Futoshi Deguchi, Mayor of Goto City, and Kawai Yusuke, Chairman of NIKKO SHOJI Joint Stock Company, during their visit to Da Nang.
At the meeting, Ms. Anh Thi updated them on Da Nang’s socio-economic growth in the first half of 2025, including the recent merger of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city.
She stated that Da Nang will continue to foster the strong friendship between Quang Nam and Japan’s Nagasaki prefecture, as well as expand cooperation with Japanese cities, including Goto.
Ms. Anh Thi hoped that both parties will enhance exchanges in education, culture, and people-to-people ties.
She also welcomed NIKKO SHOJI’s plan to invest in a large entertainment and resort complex in Da Nang, covering 30 to 50 hectares, including an event space for up to 20,000 attendees.
She believed this project will boost Da Nang's tourism sector, create jobs, and support sustainable economic growth for local communities. The city is committed to supporting the company throughout the project.
Mr. Deguchi thanked the city leaders for their warm welcome and expressed confidence that the cooperation between both localities will continue to grow, especially in education and other shared interests.
