Experiential nature-based tourism
(QNO) - Reboot Retreats – a form of experiential and healing tourism grounded in natural resources. This emerging trend is attracting high-spending travelers who prefer long stays and demonstrate strong loyalty to their chosen destinations.

Mr. Varun Grover, Country Director of Booking.com Vietnam, shared: “Healing retreats are a top travel trend, as travelers increasingly seek mental relaxation and holistic well-being through their journeys.”
Experts predict that experiential and wellness tourism will continue growing strongly beyond 2025.
According to AppotaPay’s 2024 report, domestic destinations with forests, rivers, oceans, and rich culture are now favored over international travel post-pandemic.
Unlike traditional tourism, wellness tourism offers peaceful, nature-based experiences like hiking or swimming, yoga, meditation, cycling, and massage - focusing on relaxation and balance.

Experiential tourism is increasingly embraced as a way to heal. After stress or burnout, immersing in nature and new cultures helps travelers, especially young people, reconnect with themselves and find deeper meaning in travel.
Tran Hoang Long, a young engineer from Ho Chi Minh City, recently trekked through the Nhiu Co San forest in Lao Cai.
“Waking up to the mountain mist and seeing a sky full of stars was overwhelming,” he said. “In nature, all my worries faded.”
Vietnam is home to many ideal destinations for this type of tourism. Eco-tours in Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc, forest treks in the Northwest, and luxury beach resorts in Da Nang and Binh Dinh are attracting more visitors. If developed sustainably, this could be a key tourism trend.
