Quang Nam opens doors for international investment
(QNO) - On June 10th, at the meeting with Professor Nguyen Quoc Sy, Director of VinIT Institute, representing the investors of Russia and Italy, Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung discussed investment projects in Quang Nam.
During the meeting, Professor Nguyen Quoc Sy admitted that Quang Nam is a place with a big potential because of its geographical position and transportation system, being a junction in the Central economic zone.
He raised a number of strategic investment offers, such as the creation of an international technology university, a high-tech industrial park and a special customs area focused on free trade in energy products and imported minerals in Russia.
Provided that these projects are correctly introduced, according to him, they may lead to significant socio-economic gains and make Quang Nam a launchpad for education and new technologies in the region.
Chairman Le Van Dung highly appreciated the foresight and commitment of VinIT and its global partners. He reiterated that Quang Nam is ever willing to cooperate with foreign investors, especially in high-tech, education, industry and strategic trade.
The province stands to encourage projects that are in tandem with its master planning and development objectives not only with Russian investors but also with other international partners.
With this strategy, the critical development plans to be achieved include the development of science and technology, the university village, an industrial park, and economic zones.
The chairman of Quang Nam also directed the Management Board of Economic and Industrial Zones to liaise with the related departments in order to review and come up with a clear roadmap on the implementation of these projects.
