Awarding 360 scholarships to students in Quang Nam
(QNO) – On May 19 in Tam Ky, the Quang Nam Study Promotion Association awarded scholarships to disadvantaged students from Tam Ky, Nui Thanh, and Phu Ninh. Mr. Lu Wei Chieh, General Director of Cathay United Bank (Ho Chi Minh City Branch), attended and presented the awards.
This year, the “Elevated Tree Program” awarded 360 scholarships worth 1 million VND each to Quang Nam students, fully sponsored by Cathay United Bank.
At the ceremony, in addition to the bank’s scholarships, 100 secondary school students from Tam Ky, Nui Thanh, and Phu Ninh also received 1 million VND each from Cathay Life Insurance Vietnam. The remaining scholarships will be distributed to other localities soon.
Over 20 years of operation in Vietnam, Cathay United Bank (Ho Chi Minh City Branch) has carried out the “Elevated Tree Program” for 17 years, awarding scholarships to 22,000 students nationwide with a total value of 130 billion VND.
