Quang Nam delegation visits Incheon (South Korea)

(QNO) - As part of their official visit to South Korea on May 15, 2025, the Quang Nam provincial delegation, led by Deputy Chairman Tran Nam Hung, visited and held a working session with the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ).

They were welcomed by IFEZ Chairman and CEO Yoon Won Seok, along with Incheon’s Director of Foreign Affairs and other officials. Business representatives included Dr. Tran Hai Linh, Chairman of the Vietnam-Korea Businessmen and Investment Association, and executives from Sovico Group and Hoiana.

Deputy Chairman Tran Nam Hung praised IFEZ’s effective management and success in attracting foreign investment. He introduced the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone in Quang Nam as Vietnam’s first coastal economic zone, with a focus on multi-sector development: automotive, logistics, high-tech agriculture, energy, tourism, and smart industries.

He highlighted the similarities between Chu Lai and IFEZ and expressed hopes for cooperation, especially in planning, infrastructure, operations, and investment policies.

On behalf of the Quang Nam delegation, Deputy Chairman Tran Nam Hung thanked IFEZ leaders for their warm reception and wished the zone continued prosperity and success.

Later, the delegation visited Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) to learn from one of the world’s most advanced airports. Deputy Chairman Tran Nam Hung introduced Chu Lai Airport, which has over 2,000 hectares of clean land and aims to become a regional aviation and logistics hub under a PPP model.

Quang Nam seeks IIAC’s support in developing a multifunctional international airport complex; building smart logistics systems and aviation services; promoting tourism and investment through joint events at Incheon Airport, sharing experience in airport technology, energy efficiency, and emissions reduction.
