(QNO) - Small vendors in traditional markets across Quang Nam province are keeping up with new technology trends and undergoing digital transformation to attract customers.

Livestreaming is the popular selling method among small businesses.

At Tam Ky market (Quang Nam), vendors selling clothing, footwear, cosmetics, seafood, and fruits have started using QR codes for convenient cashless payments. Customers appreciate the flexibility to choose between cash or digital payment options.

The market offers a wide variety of products with clear origins, catering to consumer needs.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, a clothing vendor, shared that she used to sell only in person but now also sells online through social media platforms like Zalo and Facebook, using photos and livestreams to attract customers.

Ms. Vu Thi Thanh Nga, Head of Tam Ky Market Management, noted that while livestream selling is not widespread yet, it’s becoming an essential trend to enhance customer interaction and increase sales, with vendors also offering discounts and promotions like supermarkets.

At Hoi An market, some small vendors have adopted sales management software like KiotViet and Sales Book. These digital tools help streamline inventory tracking, manage revenue and expenses, and even provide AI (artificial intelligence)-based profit analysis.

The growing trend of digitalization has led many vendors in traditional markets to embrace sales software for better efficiency.

Most localities in Quang Nam have set up community digital teams to guide vendors in implementing “Market 4.0” models. As a result, digital transformation and IT (information technology) application in trade and commerce are expanding rapidly, modernizing traditional markets across the province.
