Quang Nam leaders visit the Association of Vietnamese People in Sekong
(QNO) - On the occasion of his working trip to southern Laos, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Dung visited and extended New Year greetings to the Association of Vietnamese People and the Laos - Vietnam Friendship School in Sekong province.

According to Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese People in Sekong Tran Dinh Hai, the association currently has 73 households with 415 members.
Since 2005, provinces in central Vietnam have supported the construction of the Laos - Vietnam Friendship School in Sekong. This academic year, the school has 747 students across all three levels, including 65 students of Vietnamese origin.
Teachers at the Laos - Vietnam Friendship School have worked together to improve and preserve the Vietnamese language and support community development.

Deputy Secretary Nguyen Duc Dung met with the Vietnamese community in Sekong to learn about their lives and listen to their concerns and suggestions.
He acknowledged their contributions to strengthening the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos, especially between Quang Nam and Sekong.
On the occasion of Laos' Bunpimay Festival, he extended his best wishes to the Vietnamese community in Sekong, encouraging their unity, mutual support, and continued contributions to the strong ties between the two countries.
