Quang Nam: An increase of PAPI 2019

(QNO)- The Quang Nam Provincial Governance and Public Administration Index (PAPI) 2019 rose in both score and rank.

The Provincial Governance and Public Administration Index (PAPI), which measures the satisfaction and perception people have on the performance and quality of policy implementation of Vietnam’s provinces and cities, was announced on April 28, 2020.

Quang Nam got 44.33 points and ranked 22nd of 63 provinces and cities in Vietnam, an increase of 1.19 points and 22 grades compared to 2018.

There was an increase in all the sub-indexes except that of Participation at Local Levels and of Environmental Governance.

Though it didn’t achieve the target of the plan 2019 in which the PAPI should be 48, Quang Nam was among the provinces and cities with high effectiveness of governmental administration.

The results reflected Quang Nam efforts in administrative reform, realization of resolutions and directives, and building a transparent and effective administration.
