Ho Van Cong: start-up with fine art woodworking
(QNO) - After many years of making a living far from home, Ho Van Cong (Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province) decided to get back home to start fine art woodworking in 2007.

Cong’s fine art woodworking workshop is now being expanded, creating stable income for himself and employment opportunities for local people.
Cong’s workshop covers an area of 300m2. It is equipped with 4 CNC wood carving machines.
Cong said when he started his job, he faced many difficulties of wood, labors, product consumption markets and investment capital. Currently, everything has been bettered.

Every year, hundreds of wooden products including stair, banister, picture, horizontal lacquered board, hand-roller, vases made by Cong’s workshop are sold.
In addition, Cong's workshop directly provides home decor at customers’ requests.
Raw wood is skillfully and creatively processed to become unique and valuable art products and accepted by customers.

Start-up Cong plans to expand his production scale with the 3rd workshop in his hometown. It aims to create jobs for local people, especially those who have lost their jobs due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.
