(ĐNO) - The Vietnamese Prime Minister has issued Decision No. 1404/QĐ-TTg, which approves the planning task for the preservation, restoration, and development of My Son Sanctuary, a special national monument, until 2035, with a vision extending to 2050.
The planning area covers 30,875 hectares, including the protected zones of My Son Sanctuary and related sites such as Tra Kieu, Bang Am, the Thu Bon river basin, archaeological sites, and Champa relics. The core protected zones 1 and 2 cover 1,158 hectares.
The plan aims to preserve cultural heritage and protect forests and biodiversity. It is also expected to promote My Son as an attractive cultural tourism destination, connected to other local relics and landscapes, contributing to regional socio-economic growth.
The Da Nang city People's Committee is assigned to lead the planning process, allocate funds, and coordinate with the Ministry of Culture and relevant agencies to complete the project under legal regulations.
The Decision takes effect on July 1, 2025.
