(QNO) - On the evening of May 15, the Department of Agriculture and Environment inaugurated the 2025 OCOP and agricultural products exhibition of Quang Nam province at 24 March square in Tam Ky city.
The event was attended by several provincial leaders, including Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, shared that after nearly seven years of implementing the “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) program, Quang Nam has had nearly 500 products recognized with an OCOP rating of three stars or higher.
Notably, two products have received the prestigious national five-star OCOP certification, and many others have reached international markets.
Several localities have also developed centralized raw material areas, producing OCOP items that are closely tied to community-based tourism and the preservation of traditional cultural values.
According to Mr. Vu, in addition to OCOP products, many of Quang Nam’s signature agricultural items, such as Ngoc Linh ginseng, Tra My cinnamon, Tien Phuoc pepper, agarwood, and Cua Khe fish sauce, have steadily improved in quality, gained value through supply chains, and met the stringent standards of both domestic and international markets.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu noted that the exhibition features over 150 booths showcasing hundreds of OCOP products and distinctive agricultural specialties from Quang Nam and neighboring provinces.
