New look of Da Nang's Tho Quang Fishing Port after upgrade and expansion

DNO - Located in Da Nang's Son Tra Ward, the Tho Quang Fishing Port and Wharf has been emerging as one of Vietnam’s modern fisheries hubs as it features a fully integrated system of logistics services and safe moorings for fishing vessels.
The Tho Quang Fishing Port is the largest of its kind in Central Vietnam
The Da Nang government officially inaugurated the second phase of the Tho Quang Fishing Port upgrade and expansion project on Nov. 13. The VND 250 billion project is classified as a level-IV agricultural and rural development work and a Group-B investment.
The project was approved by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment). The Da Nang Management Board for Transport and Agricultural Construction Projects is the project owner, overseeing management and supervision.
Landscaping, greenery and lighting systems were upgraded.Construction began in January 2024 and all planned components have already been completed.One of the completed components is a covered access area at the Tho Quang Fishing Port.Under the project, berths No. 1 and No. 3 were renovated and upgraded in order to connect with berth No. 2 which was built in the first phase.The seafood trading area at the Tho Quang Fishing Port were renovated, with improvements to water, drainage and waste-treatment systems.The Tho Quang seafood wholesale market now looks more modern and well-equipped after renovation.Office blocks were upgraded as part of the project.Interior view of the seafood trading hall.The embankment of the boat shelter and internal roads were upgraded and repaired.The project also upgraded supporting infrastructure, including fences, gates, public restrooms, and fire prevention and firefighting systems.Improved infrastructure ensures safety and convenience at the Tho Quang Fishing Port.At the Tho Quang Fishing Port, a wastewater treatment station with a capacity of 300 m³ per day was built, ensuring treated wastewater meets national technical standards for discharge of aquaculture effluents.After the upgrade, the Tho Quang Fishing Port meets the standards of a Grade-1 fishing port.The upgraded Tho Quang Fishing Port is expected to improve the environment, provide integrated fisheries logistics services, and become a major regional fishing hub linked to tourism development in Central Vietnam.
