(QNO) - Culture lovers, especially young people, have flocked to Quang Nam Museum (Tam Ky) to admire national treasures and explore Cham culture. The exhibition runs from June 17 to July 30.
The exhibition named National Treasures- The Quintessence of Quang Heritage showcases unique artifacts reflecting Quang Nam’s rich history and culture, including newly recognized national treasures.
The exhibition introduces national treasures of Quang Nam from museums and private collections. More than their visual appeal, these treasures spark public interest, reflecting a strong link of heritage between the past, present, and future.
The exhibition displays four replica national treasures: Tara Bodhisattva, Ekamukhalinga, Champa Monk Phu Hung, and Goddess Devi, along with images of treasures from Quang Nam.
For the first time, the public can admire rare originals at Quang Nam Museum, including the golden Shiva Head, Lai Nghi golden jewellery from the Sa Huynh culture, and Dong Son bronze artefacts from a private collection.
The Lai Nghi gold jewellery, agate animal artefacts, and Dong Son bronze drums and jars were recently recognised as national treasures.
Alongside, the museum hosts “Cham Culture of Ninh Thuan – Quang Nam,” highlighting Cham heritage.
Nearly 200 images and artefacts representing Cham culture, including aspects such as daily life, housing, costumes, jewellery, religious beliefs, festivals, and temple architecture, provide visitors with valuable insight into Cham heritage.
Excavations at Cham relics in Quang Nam and Ninh Thuan revealed statues, reliefs, tiles, and household items.
The exhibition brings Cham heritage to life, fostering appreciation and preservation for future generations. It makes national treasures more accessible and promotes Quang Nam's rich identity
