Many of them have made an impression on visitors by positioning their own themes with in-depth exhibitions and experience activities that allow the public to both enjoy and explore the value of the region's cultural heritage.

Specifically, the Museum of Cham Sculpture based in Hai Chau Ward has long been considered by experts to be the largest museum in the country dedicated to Champa culture.

Meanwhile, the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts specializes in preserving and promoting the values of the fine arts heritage in the city and central region.

In Hoi An, most museums are modest in scale, but offer deep and unique insights into their respective fields. These include the Museum of Traditional Medicine, the Museum of Folk Culture, the Museum of Sa Huynh Culture, the Museum of Trade Ceramics, and the Hoi An Museum of Local Products, all located in Hoi An Ward.

In addition, some museums located in tourist destinations draw large crowds such as the My Son Museum at the My Son Sanctuary, and the Wax Museum at the Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area.

In the first half of this year, museum tourism activities in Da Nang continued to make significant strides.

Since opening its doors to the public at new location (42 Bach Dang Street) on April 1, the new Da Nang Museum has sparked public excitement with its eye-catching design and engaging storytelling when combining modern technology and traditional decoration.

The Da Nang Museum is one of the few museums in Vietnam that has effectively deployed Al very well to enhance the visitors' experience. It can be considered one of the largest museums in the Central region not only in terms of investment scale, space or artifacts but also for the application of very suitable and effective technology.

Meanwhile, the new feature of the thematic museum system in Hoi An is the Hoi An Museum of Local Products which began operations in December 2024. By conveying the rich knowledge of the medicinal treasure of Quang region as well as presenting bustling medicinal trade route in the past, this museum quickly attracts visitors, especially foreigners.

Mr. Pham Phu Ngoc, the Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation in Hoi An, shared that in order for the museums to always be new, especially for the local community, the center regularly organizes experiential activities for students to help them better understand the beauty of local history and culture. Included are traditional "Tet market"; introducing how to make traditional jams such as coconut jam and ginger jam; lantern painting and decoration; and woodblock printing on dó paper.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Trinh, Deputy Director in charge of the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts, informed that the museum has hosted eight exhibitions since the beginning of the year, utilizing a variety of formats, from in-person displays to online and mobile exhibitions.
