DNO - The Management Board of the My Son Sanctuary Cultural Heritage has recently staged an art program titled “Legendary My Son Night”, aiming to showcase traditional performances and draw more visitors to the site.

The program comprised three parts: "Valley of Timeless Stories", "Legendary My Son Night" and "Radiant Light", each illustrating the architectural and cultural evolution of the temple towers through different periods. The sequences were designed to connect past and present and underscore the heritage value of the My Son Sanctuary.

According to the organizers, the new version was a shortened and upgraded adaptation of an earlier production, intended to give audiences a clearer understanding of the site's origins and its development, along with the history of the Champa Kingdom.

The format also aimed to honour Cham cultural traditions while offering a refreshed, more engaging experience for residents and tourists.

“Legendary My Son Night” delivered its message to audiences through multiple artistic forms, combining music, dance, and visual elements to interpret the heritage story.
The combination of dance forms, lighting techniques, and stage effects produced a vivid and striking performance.
Against the moss-covered brick structures, ancient motifs and sacred figures evoked the story of one of the former kingdom’s most important religious centers.
The large-scale outdoor art program featured nearly 100 performers.
Apsara dancers performed graceful movements that recalled ancient Indian legends.
The performers showcased Cham dance movements that reflected the region’s cultural heritage.
“Legendary My Son Night” led visitors through a journey of art, light, and history.
My Son today remains solemn and imposing, standing as a visible reminder of an ancient civilization.
