Large-scale walking campaign to be held in Da Nang

The campaign in Da Nang is jointly organized by the municipal Department of Public Security, the representative agency of the Nhan dan (People) Newspaper in the Central - Central Highlands region, and related units.

It aims to commemorate the 80^th anniversaries of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - 2025), National Day (September 2), and the Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Force (August 19).

The programme also encourages officers, soldiers, and the public to engage in physical exercise in response to the “All People Exercise Following the Great Uncle Ho’s Example” campaign and the “Fit for Building and Defending the Homeland” programme, thereby promoting healthy lifestyles and reducing carbon emissions for the environment.

The main activities will run from 5:30 am - 7:30 am on August 16 at the East Sea Park. The flag-raising ceremony and the singing of the national anthem will take place at 6:00 am, synchronized with the national flag-raising ceremony at the Ba Dinh Square in Ha Noi. This will create a solemn and sacred atmosphere, and express patriotism and national pride.

It will be then followed by a walking event under the message of “One Billion Steps into a New Era” - an action symbolizing solidarity and consensus towards a green-clean-sustainable future.
