DNO - Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang hosted a reception on Friday for Lao Consul General in the city Souphanh Hadaoheuang who came to congratulate the city on the 80th National Day of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - 2025).
At the meeting, Lao diplomat extended his congratulations to the leaders of the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang on the occasion of the 80th National Day of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - 2025).
He expressed his pride in the glorious 80-year journey of the Vietnamese Revolution under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh.
The Lao guest also highly appreciated the city’s remarkable achievements during its development journey.
He voiced his belief that, under the leadership of the municipal Party Committee, Da Nang will continue to affirm its role as a key driver of growth in Central Vietnam, meeting the expectations of the Central Government and the people.
Emphasizing the special friendships between Vietnam and Laos, Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang expressed the deep gratitude of the Lao people for the great and wholehearted assistance that the Party, State, people of Vietnam and Da Nang, have given to Laos.
The Lao Party, State, and people have committed to maintaining close cooperation with Vietnam and Da Nang, constantly fostering bilateral relations for the shared interests of both nations and for peace and stability in the region, he added.
The Lao Consul General expressed his wish that the relations between Da Nang and the provinces of South-Central Laos will remain enduring and sustainable in the time to come.
For his part, Secretary Nguyen Van Quang respectfully thanked the Lao Consul General and people for their good and profound sentiments.
He informed that following the merger with Quang Nam, Da Nang boasted a large development space, so the relationships between Da Nang and Lao localities have become more comprehensive and profound.
The city Party Chief hoped that Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang will continue to do his utmost to foster the traditional friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Da Nang and Lao localities in particular.
