DNO - On Wednesday evening, the sky over Hoi An Memories Island in Hoi An Ward, Da Nang lit up spectacularly as the Light and Heritage Festival 2026 officially opened with a dazzling lantern drone performance featuring dragon and phoenix formations.

The combination of drones and traditional lanterns created a vivid dragon-and-phoenix drone show, transforming the night sky into a grand aerial stage of light.
The images of the dragon and phoenix moving gracefully and intertwining in flight delivered a striking visual spectacle for spectators and visitors.
Accompanying the aerial show was a vibrant fireworks display, adding excitement for the large crowd in attendance. The fusion of these elements created a distinctive highlight for the opening night of the Light and Heritage Festival 2026 while conveying a festive message of prosperity, good fortune and smooth beginnings for the new year.
According to Ms. Than Thi Thu Huyen, CEO of Hoi An Memories Island, the Light and Heritage Festival 2026 is a tourism highlight for the destination. This significantly contributes to extending visitors’ length of stay, diversifying experiences, and enhancing the attraction of the site.
She noted that the festival is also a major event in a series of activities running until April 30, further affirming Hoi An Memories Island as a hub for cultural creativity and contemporary festival experiences.
