DNO - International organizations and students took part in a series of cultural exchange activities to support victims of Agent Orange (AO) and disadvantaged pupils in Da Nang between July 21 and 23.
Specifically, the Nakune Community Charity Group, consisting of 60 teachers, students, and university students from South Korea, China, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Vietnam, visited the 3rd campus of the Da Nang Care Center for AO Victims and Disadvantaged Children.
During the visit, the delegation donated and helped install five surveillance cameras for the center.
Also, participating volunteers prepared warm meals, spent time interacting with the children, shared care and spiritual encouragement, and introduced them to Scratch Art.
Having visited the center many times, the Nakune Group hoped to expand its cultural exchange program and conduct field visits to several locations citywide to gain a deeper understanding of the lives of AO victims.
Meanwhile, the Happy People Organization, together with teachers and students from the Munhwa Middle School in South Korea, held a vibrant cultural and sports exchange with pupils from the Trung Vuong Junior High School in Hai Chau Ward.
Despite the language barrier, students from the two countries quickly bonded through self-produced videos, practical technology gifts, including laptops, and memorable shared experiences, bringing their three-day exchange program to a successful close.
The activities are part of a long-running initiative organized by South Korean charitable and social welfare organizations.
Over the years, the program has not only strengthened friendship and solidarity among young people from different countries but also promoted compassion and created new opportunities for cooperation and lasting friendship in Da Nang.
