DNO - Vietnam’s passport has climbed five places in the latest Henley Passport Index (HPI), ranking 86th globally in 2026. This marks the country’s highest position over the past five years and reflects a gradual recovery after several years of fluctuation.

The Henley Passport Index is a global ranking that measures the strength of passports based on the number of destinations their holders can enter without obtaining a visa in advance.
The index is compiled using exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), combined with analysis by Henley & Partners, a leading global firm specializing in residence and citizenship planning.
The index evaluates 199 passports and 227 destinations worldwide and is updated monthly, serving as a key reference for individuals and countries to assess their position in global mobility.
