DNO - Da Nang has been prioritizing industrial cluster development to fully tap local potential, promote production, create job opportunities, and establish new growth drivers for the local economy.
According to the plan, there are a total of 126 industrial clusters in Da Nang, of which 55 are in operation.
Production and business activities are taking place vigorously in all industrial clusters citywide from garment to mechanics, leather shoes, chair making, rattan and bamboo weaving, and factory processing.
Currently, many enterprises are proactively approaching, researching and investing in technical infrastructure in industrial clusters across the city.
The development of industrial clusters in the city have fostered the economic potential of each area and strengthened regional characteristics whilst supporting environmental protection and building a green city.
The bustling atmosphere in investment, and production and business activities, in industrial clusters in rural areas such as Trang Ton in Nui Thanh Commune, and Ha Lam - Cho Duoc in Thang Binh Commune, has created a new dynamic look for the land, boosting strong rural industrial shift.
At a recent working session with the city’s industry and trade sector, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong agreed with its proposal on granting investment policy for the project to build a factory specializing in producing fine art wood, and interior and exterior products, from wood and recycled wood at the Thanh Ha Industrial Cluster in Hoi An Tay Ward.
Additionally, the industry and trade sector suggested the municipal People's Committee establish new industrial clusters in communes and wards to meet the needs of concentrated production in the coming time. The focus should be on the 45ha Thu Bon Industrial Cluster in Song Vang Commune, and the 45.5ha Nui Huong Industrial Cluster in Que Son Trung Commune.
