DNO - Quang Phu Ward (Da Nang City), along with Yongin City (Republic of Korea) and the International Lotus Village Organisation, recently inaugurated the Yongin Community Digital Library.

The event welcomed Lee Sang-il, Mayor of Yongin Special City; representatives from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Danang; and Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee.
The library offers over 1,000 books across diverse genres, a digital library, computers, study spaces and interactive learning areas.
The initiative stems from a 2013 approval for the International Lotus Village Welfare and Education Complex.

Over the past decade, with support from the International Lotus Village Organisation, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and donors, multiple facilities have been successfully developed and put into operation, including: Ducksan Kindergarten, Hangul Hakdang Language Centre, a vocational training centre and an elderly care centre.
In 2025, the Yongin Community Digital Library was added using more than VND 4 billion in non-refundable aid from Yongin Special City and the International Lotus Village.
The library is expected to be an open and modern learning space that supports reading, research and digital education while fostering lifelong learning in the community.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi called for continued support from the International Lotus Village to ensure effective and sustainable operations.
Mayor Lee Sang-il said the library is Yongin Special City’s first international cooperation project in Da Nang. It represents the deepening friendship and enduring partnership between the two cities.
