DNO - The heritage tourist train route connecting Hue and Da Nang will be suspended for two days, from October 23 to 24, due to heavy rainfall triggered by a tropical depression, the Vietnam Railways Corporation announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Operations of two pairs of trains, coded HD1/2 and HD3/4, will be temporarily halted to ensure passenger safety. Passengers who have already purchased tickets will be notified via SMS.
Those who no longer wish to travel can receive full refunds without service charges at train stations within 30 days from the scheduled departure date.
Launched in 2024, the “Central Heritage Connection” train service spans more than 100 kilometers between Hue, Da Nang, offering a unique rail experience designed for tourists.
The HD1/2 and HD3/4 trains feature panoramic-view carriages, free Wi-Fi, onboard dining services, and live art performances.
The 3 - hour journey takes passengers across the scenic Hai Van Pass once dubbed “the most imposing gateway under heaven” and along Lang Co Bay recognized among the world’s most beautiful bays.
From Hue’s imperial heritage to Da Nang’s modern coastal charm, the route offers a blend of nature, culture, and history that defines Central Vietnam.
With two daily departures, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, the service allows travellers to witness both sunrise and sunset over Lang Co Bay, making it one of Vietnam’s most picturesque rail experiences.
