DNO - HORECFEX Vietnam 2026 will take place on August 20 - 21 in Da Nang, bringing together hospitality, tourism, technology and supply-chain professionals to explore how emerging technologies are reshaping the way hotels, resorts and restaurants serve guests.
Held at the Ariyana Convention Centre, Da Nang, HORECFEX Vietnam 2026 is expected to become a major annual meeting point for Vietnam’s hospitality and tourism community, as well as industry players from across the region.
Building on the technology showcased at previous editions, HORECFEX Vietnam 2026 will feature a range of solutions designed to move into practical applications.
Electronic check-in using facial recognition and service robots will return, alongside smart glasses from Rokid, Meta Quest 3.
Rokid smart glasses will offer first-person video recording, real-time subtitles and multilingual translation, while integrating AI platforms including OpenAI GPT and Google Gemini.
The technology could support front-desk services, customer care, staff training and F&B operations, including multilingual communication and augmented-reality menus.
Meta Quest 3 will provide immersive 360-degree virtual and mixed-reality experiences, allowing visitors to explore venues such as Furama Villas and the Ariyana Convention Centre virtually.
Such technology could be used for sales, destination marketing and staff training, helping businesses reduce site-inspection costs and make faster decisions.
Robotics will be another major attraction. Unitree Robotics’ robotic dog is designed for applications including security patrols, monitoring and rescue operations at resorts and convention centres.
OrionStar reception robots can communicate in more than 30 languages, while KEENON service robots can assist with banquets, food transportation and restaurant operations.
Some of these technologies have already moved from exhibition floors into actual business operations. At Furama Resort Da Nang, the Ms. Ariyana robot has been deployed in the lobby to serve drinks, guide guests and provide information, supporting employees with routine tasks.
The resort has also experimented with AI-generated music, images and personalised welcome content, demonstrating how technology can enhance not only operational efficiency but also the guest experience.
Pham Ngoc Loi, the Director of Information Technology and Innovation at HORECFEX Vietnam, said technology should not replace people but enable them to “see faster, understand deeper and serve more thoughtfully”.
According to Andre Gentzsch, Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of HORECFEX Vietnam, effective technology investment could improve productivity and service quality across the hospitality value chain, from housekeeping and front-desk operations to conferences and events.
Alongsidetechnology showcases, HORECFEX Vietnam 2026 will serve as a platform for knowledge sharing, business networking and international cooperation.
Organised by the HORECFEX Organising Committee in cooperation with the Vietnam Hotel Association, the event will connect hotels, resorts, restaurants, F&B businesses and tourism operators with technology providers, experts, training organisations and industry associations from Vietnam and abroad.
The programme will feature more than 40 conference and discussion sessions with around 55 speakers from 20 countries. Key topics will include artificial intelligence, hotel management, revenue optimisation, sales and marketing, sustainability, F&B and human-resource development.
Business-to-business (B2B) networking activities will also provide opportunities for investors, operators, experts and suppliers to exchange needs and explore partnerships.
HORECFEX Vietnam 2026 offers a glimpse of a sector where AI, robotics and immersive technologies are no longer futuristic concepts, but practical tools for creating more efficient businesses and more personalised experiences for travellers.
