DNO - Thanh Ha Pottery Village in Hoi An, Da Nang has been recognised as one of the five best community tourism destinations at the 2025 Vietnam Tourism Awards held on September 27 in Ha Noi.

The prestigious awards, organized under the direction of the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, are considered the highest honour in the country’s tourism industry.
With more than 500 years of history, the Thanh Ha Pottery Village is a living testament to Vietnam’s artisanal heritage. Today, the village is home to over 100 households and 200 workers, about 40 of whom directly engage in pottery making and tourism activities.
In 2024 alone, the village welcomed more than 500,000 visitors, drawn by its unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and cultural authenticity.
Travellers to Thanh Ha can experience more than just pottery displays. Visitors are invited to watch artisans at work, try their hand at the potter’s wheel and bring home handmade souvenirs.
Narrow alleys lined with clay workshops and kilns evoke a timeless charm, offering a glimpse into the daily life of generations who have kept this heritage alive.
Thanh Ha shared the spotlight with other celebrated community destinations, including Sin Suoi Ho in Lai Chau, Pa Vi Ha in Tuyen Quang, the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Ha Noi and Thai Hai Stilt House Ecological Village in Thai Nguyen.
The 2025 Vietnam Tourism Awards featured 11 categories, honouring businesses, products, and destinations that have significantly contributed to the nation’s tourism growth.
This year also marked the 20th edition of the awards, coinciding with World Tourism Day (September 27) and carrying the global message of “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation” launched by UN Tourism.
