The artwork was created using an artistic letter-assembling technique, thereby forming the shape of the horse mascot from blocks of letters that form the name of Da Nang along with the names of its 94 commune-level administrative units following the recent reorganization. The administrative units are 23 wards, 70 communes, and the Hoang Sa Special Zone.

Besides the "Kim Ma Hop Nhat” mascot statue, a mechanical horse mascot named “Kim Ma 4.0” (Golden Horse 4.0) is being urgently installed on the southern landscape platform at the tail end of the Dragon Bridge. The work symbolizes the image of Da Nang in the future - a modern, breakthrough-oriented city driven by strong aspirations.
