(QNO) – Quang Nam General Hospital has announced a program offering free examinations and surgeries for children with cleft lips and palates from June 1 to June 6.
The program is part of a collaboration with the Japanese Cleft Lip and Palate Association, under the coordination of the Quang Nam Department of Health.
According to the plan, from June 1 to June 6, 2025, a team of professors and doctors from Japan will conduct examinations, consultations, and surgeries directly at Quang Nam General Hospital (01 Nguyen Du Street, Tam Ky City).
Children in need are required to undergo pre-screening and register in advance at the Dental Clinic - Outpatient Department of the hospital.
This free surgery program, initiated in 2000 through a partnership between the Japanese -Korean Cleft Lip and Palate Organization and Quang Nam General Hospital, aims to restore natural smiles and brighter futures for those born with cleft lips and palates, especially children.
Accordingly, the hospital will receive patients for screening and medical record registration from May 5 to May 30, 2025. This is a valuable opportunity for families with children affected by cleft lip and palate to access high-quality medical services free of charge.
The hospital also encourages medical facilities in Quang Nam and neighboring provinces such as Quang Ngai to actively spread the information so that more people can benefit from the program.
