First flight from Tashkent to Da Nang

(QNO) - On April 27, 2025, flight C65539 from Tashkent (Uzbekistan), bringing over 180 passengers, landed at Da Nang International Airport.

Da Nang warmly welcomed the flight with a water cannon salute, traditional performances, and the presentation of flowers and souvenirs.

The passengers were impressed by the warm reception and were eager to explore famous beaches and cultural and culinary experiences in Da Nang.

The charter flight route from Tashkent to Da Nang is operated by Prestige DMC Vietnam, Red Island, Centrium-Air Airways, and Prestige Travel Uzbekistan, running from April 27 to October 31, 2025. Initially operating once a week, the frequency will increase to two flights per week from June 2025 due to rising demand.

According to Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism in Da Nang, the new flight route highlights Da Nang's growing appeal to the CIS market. This is part of the city’s strategy to expand international connections and attract tourists from this region.

Da Nang’s Department of Tourism also participated in the KITF International Tourism Fair in Kazakhstan in April 2025 to promote the city.

With the launch of the Tashkent-Da Nang route, Da Nang now has 11 weekly flights from the CIS region. Air Astana will begin operating flights from Almaty (Kazakhstan) to Da Nang on June 3, 2025, with a frequency of four flights per week.
