The host team Da Nang Vietnam sparked off the opening night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2026 with a journey exploring the natural beauty of Vietnam, from rich heritage sites to a message of a green future. Da Nang City spreads aspirations for protecting the environment and individual responsibility for preserving the Earth.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Vy, a tourist from Hanoi, said the combination of technical innovation and emotional depth helped the host team Da Nang create the most distinctive performance so far. The viewers achieved a deeper understanding of the relationship between humans and the environment.
The message of protecting the green planet was subtly conveyed through the language of light, leaving a profound impression after each dazzling burst of fireworks over the Han River sky.
The Chinese team, with their performance of "Flower of the Orient" on the opening night (on May 30), showcased masterful staging techniques and absolute harnomy between the music and high-quality smokeless fireworks effects.
Poet Nguyen Nho Khiem, Chairman of the Da Nang City Union of Literature and Arts Associations praised that, the Chinese team seemed to paint a picture of light, depicting the gentle and elegant beauty of Eastern nature. Through soft lights, the team conveyed a hope for a green future, where humanity and nature coexist in sustainable harmony.
Toward a green tourism destination
Besides its artistic value, the application of smokeless fireworks technology by participating teams at this year's DIFF is sending a message of environmental responsibility, according to experts.
In the context of sustainable development, it is not only a technological advancement but also a perfect interference between artistic creativity and a commitment to protecting the planet.
The fireworks displays at DIFF 2026 taking place during the peak tourist season in Da Nang City are also expected to play a significant role in spreading the message of green tourism as the city implements the project of building Da Nang City into an environmental city in the 2021 - 2030 period.
