DNO - Da Nang has become a launchpad for businesses to seize new opportunities. With strong government support, local enterprises are showing resilience, adapting to challenges, and pursuing sustainable growth and deeper integration.

From a “fishing village” to an open city
After nearly two decades in the tech sector, Nguyen Van Chuong, a member of the Da Nang Young Entrepreneurs Association and Manager of the Swiss Entrepreneurship Program, likens the early information technology industry in Da Nang to a “riverside fishing village.”
In 2015, Chuong joined the Da Nang Business Incubator (DNES), the city’s first public-private start-up hub, which became a turning point for young entrepreneurs. Within a decade, Da Nang’s start-up scene has flourished, climbing from 896th (in 2024) to 766th in StartupBlink’s global rankings.
Today, Da Nang has transformed into a “liveable, opportunity-rich city,” offering better access to global talent, capital, experts, and markets through administrative transformation, digital transformation and smart-city initiatives. The government has built a supportive ecosystem, establishing a Start-up Coordination Council, developing high-quality human resources, and introducing business-friendly policies.
According to Tran Quoc Bao, Chairman of the Da Nang Business Association, the association continues to serve as a vital bridge between the government and enterprises, supporting trade promotion, investment, and innovation.
Renewing the role of connection
Amid Vietnam’s sweeping reforms, Da Nang’s business community is embracing transformation with renewed energy. The Da Nang Women Entrepreneurs Association now goes beyond its traditional role, promoting innovation and the creative spirit of women in the digital era.

According to Le Thi Nam Phuong, Chairwoman of the Da Nang Women Entrepreneurs Association and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of L.I.F.E Investment JSC, Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW opens major opportunities for private enterprises. The association aims to unite and empower women entrepreneurs, upholding Vietnamese virtues while fostering modern values to make Da Nang a regional hub of innovation and growth.
With around 800 members, the Da Nang Young Entrepreneurs Association generates VND 40 trillion in revenue, VND 1.5 trillion in taxes, USD 300 million in exports, and 60,000 jobs annually.
Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association Le Tri Hai affirmed that young entrepreneurs are reinventing themselves to align with new trends, building an innovation ecosystem where technology meets people and investment goes hand in hand with social responsibility.
