(QNO) - On April 25, 2025, representatives from Emirates Airlines visited Da Nang International Airport to review emergency response and rescue operations.
The meeting involved discussions with key units such as the Da Nang International Airport Operations Center, the Airfield Operations Center, and the Airport Security Center.
Topics included emergency detection, alarm activation, firefighting, evacuation, and rescue procedures, all of which are coordinated with local authorities, the fire department, military, and medical units.
Following the meeting, Emirates representatives conducted a survey of the Emergency Coordination Center, fire stations, and areas equipped for firefighting and rescue operations at the airport. Emirates Airlines is set to launch its Dubai-Da Nang flight route on June 2, 2025, with four round-trip flights per week.
In a related matter, Da Nang International Airport has requested that local authorities in Da Nang and Quang Nam address the issue of laser light interference affecting flight operations.
The airport also called for public awareness of aviation security laws, specifically regarding the use of high-powered lights, lasers, drones, kites, and balloons in the airport’s approach areas to ensure flight safety.
This collaboration aims to enhance airport safety measures and facilitate smoother operations for the upcoming Emirates flights.
