(QNO) - Spanning nearly 19,000 hectares across the Que Lam and Phuoc Ninh communes in Nong Son district (Quang Nam province), the Elephant Species and Habitat Conservation Area is home to numerous rare and endangered wildlife species.

(QNO) - In Quang Nam forests, there is a herd of around 13-14 Asian wild elephants. They are distributed into 3 populations in Bac Tra My and Northwest Phuoc Son (about 5-6 individuals), and Nong Son (8 individuals).
