DIFF 2026’s second night to shine with star-studded lineup

But visitors can expect far more than a fireworks contest.

On the banks of the Han River, one of Vietnam’s most vibrant summer events is transforming into a multi-sensory cultural experience where music, storytelling, technology and dazzling pyrotechnics come together under the night sky.

The upcoming show will feature a highly anticipated duel between Vietnam’s Z121 Vina Pyrotech team and France’s Lux Factory POK 2.0, two competitors expected to present emotionally charged performances inspired by history, culture and national identity.

Adding to the excitement is an ambitious live arts programme designed around the theme of heritage. Popular Vietnamese singer Dong Hung will headline the evening, bringing his powerful vocals and contemporary interpretations of traditional cultural elements to the stage.

He will be joined by a lineup of talented performers, including Thuy Dung, Hong Minh, Ny Ny Nguyen, Nhat Mai and Kieu Oanh, alongside the Trung Vuong and Mai Trang dance troupes. Together, they will create a vibrant artistic journey exploring the cultural legacy of central Vietnam.

According to organisers, the performances will trace the region’s rich heritage, from the lives of Da Nang’s coastal communities to the historic trading port of Hoi An, blending traditional inspirations with modern stagecraft.

The experience is further elevated by the largest stage ever built in DIFF history.

Covering nearly 1,200 square meters and stretching approximately 100 meters in length, the massive dome-shaped stage is equipped with next-generation LED screens, laser systems, immersive lighting and advanced sound technology.

Thanks to this, there will be a seamless fusion between the live performances on stage and the fireworks illuminating the skyline above the Han River.

Over the years, DIFF has evolved from a fireworks competition into one of Asia’s most exciting cultural festivals.
