DAVAS 2026 officially opens

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the National Academy for Advanced Technology and Innovation (NACENTECH) under the Ministry of Science and Technology; and Mr. Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee; along with more than 30 investors and investment funds, and over 60 innovative startup projects and enterprises at both home and abroad.

In his opening speech at DAVAS 2026, Vice Chairman Ho Quang Buu stated that for an ecosystem to grow sustainably, it is essential to build tech enterprises capable of competing internationally, as well as startups with the capacity to raise capital, expand markets and contribute meaningfully to the city’s economic growth.

He, therefore, added that DAVAS 2026 aimed to not only connect investment capital but also enhance the internal capacity of the local startup community through training programs on fundraising skills, business valuation, growth model development and access to international markets.

Leaders of Da Nang hoped that each startup participating in DAVAS would not only gain investment opportunities but also mature in their thinking, management capabilities, and global competitiveness.

Mr. Buu emphasized that Da Nang remained committed to accompanying businesses, startups and investors with a development-oriented mindset, considering the success of enterprises and investors as part of the city’s own success

On behalf of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Director of NACENTECH Pham Hong Quat highly praised DAVAS, describing it as an event that has made a strong mark on the map of innovative startups and earned recognition both domestically and internationally.

He expressed hope that DAVAS 2026 would serve as a starting point for meaningful investment deals where startups could find long-term partners, while encouraging founders to remain persistent in addressing real-world economic challenges.

The ministry is committed to continuing to support localities by helping remove institutional barriers, unlocking resources and creating a more favorable business environment to build an effective, practical and internationally integrated innovation ecosystem, he noted.
