DNO - The Da Nang delegation ranked second in the “Green Track” National Youth and Pupil Lifesaving Swimming Championships 2025.
The competition was held in Quang Ngai Province from July 22 - 28 by the Department of Physical Education and Sports under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
It attracted nearly 800 athletes from 30 delegations of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and swimming clubs, nationwide.
The Da Nang delegation had 45 athletes, mainly from the Nguyen Binh Khiem Senior High School for the Gifted, and they competed in six age groups. As a result, the team came in second place with 7 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals, plus 10 consolation prizes.
Notably, Pham Ngoc Minh Chau from Nguyen Binh Khiem Senior High School for the Gifted took gold medals in the 50m and 100m backstroke events, along with a bronze medal in the relay event. Nguyen Ngoc Bao Nhu also from the school grabbed two gold medals in individual events.
Additionally, Huynh Thi Hien Nhi (born 2019) from Da Nang, the youngest athlete in the tournament, won a bronze medal in the 50m event and was highly praised by the organizers.
