(QNO) - In the first quarter of 2025, Da Nang city organized a wide range of tourism promotion activities and events.
Da Nang launched the "Enjoy Da Nang 2025 - Multi-experiences" program to engage various tourism markets, alongside the "I Love Da Nang" campaign, which offered gifts and special incentives to attract returning international visitors.
The expansion of international flight routes, coupled with more favorable visa policies, contributed to a notable increase in the number of tourists visiting Da Nang. In March 2025, local accommodation facilities hosted 952,100 visitors, marking an 18.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
During the first quarter of 2025, Da Nang welcomed over 2.53 million overnight visitors, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 19.2%. This figure includes more than 1.26 million international arrivals - a remarkable growth of over 42%. Meanwhile, domestic visitors also exceeded 1.26 million, representing a modest increase of 2.7%.
Total revenue from accommodation and food services in Q1 2025 reached nearly 7,393 billion VND, accounting for approximately 20% of the city’s total retail and consumer service sector. This marks a year-on-year growth of over 21%.
