Strengthened cooperation with tech enterprises

The University of Economics, a member school of the University of Da Nang (UD), has implemented digital transformation in a structured and comprehensive manner to enhance training quality and governance effectiveness.

The university has actively strengthened cooperation with enterprises, viewing business partnerships as a key driver of digital transformation in higher education.

Recently, the University of Economics signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Viettel Da Nang, a branch of the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group.

Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate comprehensively in education and human resource development, career counseling, and recruitment.

Viettel will provide consultancy and technological support for the university’s digital infrastructure, including transmission systems, LAN-WiFi, digital storage solutions, and big data analytics.

These solutions are designed to serve the university’s digital transformation roadmap as well as support the deployment of digital university management platforms such as Viettel Edu and Smart University.

The cooperation also covers the implementation of learning management systems (LMS), e-learning applications, digital signatures, dormitory management, and smart parking systems.

In addition, Viettel will support the use of digital platforms it has developed, including IoT solutions, CallBot and ChatBot applications, and Viettel Money online payment services.

Digital transformation in education was also a key focus at the 9th Asia–Europe Conference on Educational Innovation (ECEI 2026), hosted by the University of Education, a member school of UD, in late January 2026.

The international conference served as an academic forum for scholars from Vietnam and abroad to discuss pressing issues related to artificial intelligence in education, STEM education, intelligent assessment, learning technologies, extended reality (XR), and innovation in teaching methods and teacher training in the context of digitalization and globalisation.

Building comprehensive digital university ecosystems

Alongside enterprise partnerships and academic exchanges, universities in Da Nang are proactively developing integrated digital platforms to support governance, training, research, and learner services.

Over recent years, the University of Science and Technology under the UD has focused its digital transformation efforts on management, education, and scientific research, gradually forming a data-driven ecosystem that enhances transparency, operational efficiency, and service quality.

According to Associate Professor Nguyen Huu Hieu, the Rector of the University of Science and Technology, the institution expanded the use of digital platforms in academic management, assessment and quality assurance in 2025.

The university has also increased the adoption of digital signatures and electronic workflows in administrative processes, helping streamline operations and reduce paperwork.

The university has placed strong emphasis on digital governance. The launch of the dDUT (Digital DUT) ecosystem marks a significant milestone in its digital transformation roadmap.

Developed and operated by the university, the ecosystem integrates multiple digital platforms and services designed for lecturers, students, and administrators, moving the institution closer to a smart university model with modern governance.

The launch of the dDUT ecosystem demonstrates the strong commitment of the University of Science and Technology to building a modern and efficient digital university environment.

He expressed hope that this comprehensive digital transformation model would be expanded across other member institutions of the UD and further extended to educational institutions, agencies, and organizations throughout the city.
