ĐNO- The 2026 “Global Eyes on Da Nang” photo contest is expected to be a platform for photography enthusiasts in Vietnam and abroad.
The contest will be launched on August 28. It aims to foster cultural exchange and connect the city with the international communities, thereby contributing to effectively promoting Da Nang’s image amidst the process of global integration.
Contestants will include Vietnamese citizens and foreign nationals. They can be professional and amateur photographers, journalists, international tourists who have visited Da Nang, overseas Vietnamese, and foreigners who are currently living, working, or studying in Vietnam. There is no age limit. Entrants may participate either individually or in groups.
Entries should focus on four thematic areas: heritage and nature; the rhythm of city life; cultural intersection and the highlights of international integration; and the livable city from new perspectives.
Each entrant may submit up to 15 single photographs. In particular, the photo mustn't be made by artificial intelligence (AI), either partially or wholly. It may be in color or black and white, in JPG/JPEG format, with a minimum file size of 5 MB, a minimum width of 3,000 pixels, and a resolution of 300 dpi.
The launch ceremony of this photo contest is scheduled for August 28, 2026, at APEC Park. Entries will be received from August 28 to October 20. The exhibition and awards ceremony are expected to be held on November 25 at APEC Park and Hoi An Cultural Park.
In particular, the most outstanding entries will be selected for a photo book titled "Da Nang - Telling the World." It aims to support the city's activities concerning external relations and international cooperation. The competition is anticipated to introduce Da Nang’s landscapes, residents, culture, and lifestyle to the general public.
