DNO - According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in an effort to affirm its reputation as a prestigious and attractive destination, Da Nang will continue to host many international-standard sports tournaments and events throughout 2026.
The Da Nang International Marathon 2026, scheduled for March 22, will open the city’s calendar of major international sporting events for the year.
Favorable weather conditions at the beginning of the year are expected to help athletes push new performance limits. Da Nang is ready to welcome thousands of runners at both home and abroad to conquer one of the most scenic marathon courses in the region.
The race distances include the full marathon (42km), half marathon (21km), 5km, and a 1.5km run for children.
Later in March, the World Football Legends Festival which will take place at the Chi Lang Stadium, formerly Hoa Xuan Stadium, emerges as a distinctive cultural and sporting highlight of Da Nang.
The event will bring together world-renowned football stars, contributing to creating a vibrant atmosphere, inspiring fans, and further promoting the city’s sports tourism development.
On May 10, across the city's beaches and major routes, the IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam 2026, a world-class triathlon, will continue to affirm its status as one of Da Nang’s flagship annual sporting events. The competition promises new challenges for athletes from many countries, where the spirit of conquest blends with the stunning scenery of Da Nang.
The International SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboarding) Festival is slated for early September on the Han River and along its banks, promoting an active lifestyle and a closer connection with nature. Through a series of vibrant activities, the event will contribute to reinforcing Da Nang's image as a distinctive and energetic experiential destination in the summer of 2026.
From late September to early October 2026, the Pickleball PPA Tour Asia - Vietnam Cup 2026 will be held at the Tien Son Sports Arena and the Tuyen Son Sports Village.
Returning after the resounding success of the 2025 season which set new records for athlete participation, professional quality and community engagement, the tournament is expected to be even more competitive, attracting leading players across the region in a highly professional and inspiring atmosphere.
