The Da Nang People’s Committee has issued a plan on organizing the event under the theme “Vietnam - A Gateway Connecting Cross-Border Ecosystems”.

The forum aims to provide a platform for discussions on policies, trends, business models and solutions for cross-border e-commerce development.

It will also promote cooperation among government agencies, international organizations, industry associations and businesses.

The main forum session is scheduled for December 8 at the Da Nang Administrative Center. An exhibition, solution showcases and business networking activities will take place on December 7 and 8, followed by field visits to key development ecosystems across the city on December 9.

A key feature of GCBES 2026 will be an exhibition area expected to accommodate around 50 booths. Priority will be given to exporters, e-commerce platforms, logistics providers, digital payment companies, technology firms and products with potential in international markets.

Business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings, alongside investment and technology networking activities, will provide opportunities for participants to seek partners, exchange solutions and explore new business cooperation.

The event will place particular emphasis on linking cross-border e-commerce with logistics networks, supply chains, seaports and the Da Nang Free Trade Zone.

These connections are expected to help businesses improve access to overseas markets and strengthen their participation in international trade networks. Delegates are expected to join two field-study routes.

The first will focus on commercial and logistics infrastructure, the Free Trade Zone and the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park. The second will explore the city’s technology ecosystem, including artificial intelligence (AI), innovation, research and development.

Under the city’s e-commerce development orientation for 2026 - 2030, the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade is concentrating on helping businesses, cooperatives and household businesses reach wider markets through digital platforms.

Support also includes connecting them with shipping providers, payment services and distribution networks.

GCBES 2026 is expected to create additional opportunities for exporters and producers of products under the One Commune - One Product (OCOP) program, local specialties and handicrafts to connect with international partners and gradually integrate more deeply into global supply chains.

The event will also showcase Da Nang’s investment environment, logistics infrastructure and technology ecosystems, reinforcing the city’s role as a connector in international trade and supporting local businesses in capitalizing on opportunities in cross-border e-commerce.
