Da Nang technically opens Hoa Lien-Tuy Loan Expressway

The project, launched in September 2023, stretches 11.5 kilometers with a total investment of more than VND 2.1 trillion (approximately US$ 83 million) funded by the state budget.

Running through Lien Chieu District, Hoa Khanh Ward, and Ba Na Commune, the new expressway is expected to significantly improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and support growing demand for passenger and cargo transport in Central Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Le Quang Nam emphasized the project’s strategic importance.

“The Hoa Lien -Tuy Loan Expressway not only ensures smooth traffic and reduces accidents but also plays a pivotal role in disaster response and rescue operations. It is a crucial step toward completing Da Nang’s transportation master plan and the national expressway network,” he said.

The project is designed to expressway standards with four lanes in the initial stage and service roads on both sides. Once operational, it will provide seamless connectivity with the Ho Chi Minh Road (La Son–Hoa Lien section), Hai Van Tunnel, National Highway 1, Da Nang-Quang Ngai Expressway and National Highway 14B.

After nearly two years of construction, the main route and essential facilities have been completed.

The project holds major significance for Da Nang’s infrastructure and socio-economic development, as well as for the central region and the country as a whole.

Da Nang has pledged to continue close coordination to ensure timely progress, quality, safety, and efficiency, bringing tangible benefits to the people and the whole nation.
