DNO - In 2026 summer tourism season, Da Nang is attracting tourists with not only its blue sea and white sand, but also with the vibrant energy of a series of colorful events and activities, each designed to spark emotion and create memorable experiences.
A series of world-class international events
Da Nang remains lively throughout the summer months with its signature annual events such as the Da Nang Beach Tourism Season, the International Fireworks Festival, and the IRONMAN race. Notably, several first-time international-scale events promise to deliver a truly explosive tourism season.
This year, the 10th edition of IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang has seen a record-breaking registration of over 3,100 athletes from 90 countries worldwide.
Remarkably, the IRONMAN 70.3 will be held alongside the full-distance IRONMAN race, hosted in Vietnam for the first time.
This dual sporting event is expected to draw a large number of tourists to the city in May.
The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026 with the theme of “Da Nang - United Horizons”, scheduled to take place from May 30 to July 11, will bring together the world’s leading fireworks teams to create some of the most dazzling and magical moments of the summer.
For this year’s edition, the city’s tourism sector, in collaboration with Sun Group, will introduce a seamless fireworks experience journey from specially designed flights to dazzling nights of festivities and satellite events.
All will be connected within an integrated ecosystem to offer visitors a truly immersive and spectacular experience.
Another highlight is the Da Nang Summer Fest slated for July, with a strong focus on music, entertainment, and interactive activities.
Four music stages will operate continuously, featuring a diverse lineup of live music, dance, artistic performances, and other engaging programs, creating a vibrant festive atmosphere throughout the city.
Investing in multi-generational experiences
Data from travel agencies reveals a clear trend that summer travelers in 2026 are prioritizing high-quality family tours that combine relaxation, cultural exploration, and multi-generational interaction.
In response, tourist attractions and resorts across the city have introduced a range of new recreational activities, thereby enriching choices for visitors.
At the Sun World Ba Na Hills, the Ba Na Sun Fest 2026 runs throughout the summer until August 31.
Visitors can enjoy interactive light shows, street parades, contemporary dance performances, and mini shows, alongside vibrant culinary spaces, craft beer experiences, and engaging family-friendly games.
The Than Tai Hot Springs Park has launched two special summer entertainment programs: the Animal Actors Show until September 2 and the Dinosaur Kingdom (June 5 to August 30).
Meanwhile, Furama Resort Danang offers an energetic and diverse activity schedule for guests, including outdoor sports in lush green surroundings, water volleyball classes, kayaking, surfing, as well as craft workshops such as lantern making, coconut coffee preparation, and cooking classes led by Co Tu chefs.
At the Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa, domestic tourists and families are drawn by the Family Package promotion at the water park during the May 4 - September 6 period, along with a vibrant lineup of entertainment programs from May to August.
